Do you ever feel like your dishwasher is a wasted and useless invention?
There are some people who echo the sentiment that this marvelous
invention, the dishwasher, is overrated. Why would someone feel this
Do you think it’s easier to wash by hand and soap water?
Let’s do a comparison between hand wash versus washing by dishwasher.
Your dishwasher water reaches maximum temperature at 130 degrees.
Therefore, your dishes are better sanitized.
You use more water when you wash by hand.
If you have a dishwasher that was built before 1994, you are wasting
$35 a year on utility bills, and 10 gallons of water per wash cycle.
The modern, energy efficient dishwashers today, use less water
and save mucho energy.
Your much appreciated dishwasher, that some people think is overrated,
is the core of your kitchen clean-up campaign. This past past Thanksgiving,

imagine having to do dishes by hand during and after the festivities?
I am in the appliance service business and the vast majority of my customers
think it is a travesty of justice when there dishwasher breaks down and they
have to do dishes by hand? They would rather go out hand purchase a new

Dishwashers are a big waste of time.
Wow—you have a machine… in your own house… that washes dishes? Wow—what’s your name, The Jetsons? [Sarcasm dripping from my every word]
Let’s just take an unbiased look at what it means to actually “use the dishwasher.” You have your dirty dishes on the table. For thousands of years of human evolution, what would happen next would be: you put the dishes in the sink and wash them with a sponge and some soap. The end. But then they invented the dishwasher (around the same time they invented the atom bomb—another “good” invention). With a dishwasher, what happens next would be: you gather up all the dishes. You scrape em off. You put them in the sink. You wash them all off. How do you open this dishwasher? Is it on right now?
